EL Da'Sheon Nix, our Director of Evanston Community Relations, acts as the university’s primary liaison with the Evanston community. He develops and manages community relations and civic engagement plans, working collaboratively with university and community stakeholders to forge and sustain beneficial partnerships that advance Northwestern’s mission and enrich Evanston’s social landscape.
Shayla Butler, the Manager of Campus and Community Engagement, collaborates closely with the office leadership to align community engagement activities with NCR’s strategic priorities. She provides strategic guidance to stakeholders, oversees communication of our impact, and organizes signature events, playing a crucial role in enhancing our campus and community engagement.
