My name is EL Da’ Sheon Nix and I serve as the Director of Evanston Community Relations here in the Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations. I’m a Northwestern University alum (SESP ’04), that started my professional career in Evanston, IL. I spent time at the Rice Child and Family Center, Y.O.U. and at the Evanston Community Defender Office.
As my career in the non-profit and community engagement sectors progressed, I’ve worked with youth, families, and communities facing economic and social barriers throughout the Chicagoland area. I bring over 20 years of professional experience into Northwestern and the city of Evanston, in my Director of Evanston Community Relations role.
I’m extremely excited and looking forward to continuing to build and sustain positive relationships between the university and the Evanston community, connecting people to essential resources, and positively impacting the quality of life across this collective community.
