SPEAK for Change

Students Promoting Education, Awareness and Knowledge (SPEAK) for Change is a survivor-centered student group that is for survivors of sexual or dating/domestic violence and allies of survivors. SPEAK is not a therapy group, but rather a place find your voice, feel supported by peers or simply meet others whose lives have been touched by sexual violence.

The mission of SPEAK for Change is to utilize activist efforts in order to challenge the normalization of sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking at Northwestern, and society as a whole. We seek to foster a campus community in which survivors can thrive.

A Place for Community

SPEAK for Change creates connections and a sense of community among NU students whose lives have been impacted - directly or indirectly - by sexual and interpersonal violence. This includes, but isn’t limited to sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking.
