Director of Evanston Community Relations
EL Da' Sheon Nix serves as the new Director of Evanston Community Relations in Northwestern University's Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations. An alumnus of Northwestern University (SESP' 04) and former student-athlete, EL began his career in the non-profit sector in Evanston, IL, contributing his expertise to the Rice Child and Family Center, Y.O.U., and the Evanston Community Defender Office. With nearly 20 years in the non-profit and community engagement arenas, he has dedicatedly served youth, families, and communities in the Chicagoland area, particularly those grappling with economic and social challenges.
In his current role, EL merges his deep-rooted experience with his passion for fostering symbiotic relationships between Northwestern University and the broader Evanston community and throughout the Chicago-land area.
He is committed to bridging gaps, facilitating access to vital resources, and enhancing the quality of life for everyone in the community he serves. EL holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and Social Policy.
