Report a Concern

How to Report

  • If you need to report an emergency or are in imminent danger, contact University Police at (847) 491-3456 or call 911.
  • To report a non-emergency matter involving concerning or threatening behavior, submit a Wildcats Aware: Concerning Behavior Reporting Form. This form can be submitted anonymously.

Northwestern prohibits knowingly filing reports with false claims and information.

Know your rights: Northwestern's Non-Retaliation Policy

Northwestern's Policy on Non-Retaliation strictly prohibits retaliation against any member of its community for reporting or inquiring in good faith about suspected wrongful or unlawful activity, or participating in an investigation or proceeding related to such activity. The University considers such actions to be protected activities in which all members may freely engage without worry of negative consequences.

The BCT will review submitted concerning behavior reports to

  • Assess reported behavior that might impact the safety or well-being of the campus community
  • Gather additional information to determine a level of concern
  • Consider intervention and management strategies to offer support and prevent violence
