Parking rules and regulations for the Evanston campus have been developed with recommendations from the University Parking Committee and University Central Administration. The committee consists of faculty, staff and student body representatives.

Permit Requirements

Permits are required in all lots and garages Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you do not have a permit, then you can pay a fee to park in the North and South garages Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Permit Types

Available permit types include visitor, contractor, student, faculty, scooter, and motorcycle, among others.

Visiting Campus?

Visitor permits are available for purchase in the Evanston Parking Office. See the Visitor Permits page for more information.

Pay-on-site parking is available in the North and South Campus parking garages.

Parking for guests registered for an Undergraduate Admissions tour is located in the South Campus parking garage (parking validated in the Segal Visitors Center, at the south end of the building at 1841 Sheridan Road).
