Learn how to give the gift of touch by enhancing your ability to listen to another’s body and ease their tension. In this mini course students will learn through discussion, demonstration and practice the skills to become comfortable giving massage to friends, family, and loved ones. Students will need to bring: Two sheets, Two towels, and a Yoga mat. Norris Mini Courses will provide lotion.

Movement Mindfulness: Introduction to the Alexander Technique (6 weeks)

Learn the principles of the Alexander Technique to increase mindfulness in your everyday movements and strengthen connection between mind and body. The Alexander Technique is a method of postural awareness known for helping performing artists to sustain their energy and physical presence onstage. By addressing and changing physical habits, it combats everyday physical stresses caused by hunching over desks, computers, and smartphones. Whether you would like to gain confidence in public speaking or feel less stressed at the end of the day, this course will offer practical help from the Alexander Technique to bring some ease into your daily life. Note: Alexander Technique is instructed both verbally and through light, respectful hands-on guidance.

Nighttime Yoga (6 weeks)

Perfect for beginners and experts alike, Nighttime Yoga will emphasize long stretches, relaxation techniques, and guided meditation to calm the mind and ready each individual for a tranquil evening. Tap into your inner strength and reach for the stars. Remember to bring your own yoga mat and any props to assist your practice.
