KinderCare

The near-site KinderCare@Northwestern University Learning Center provides priority enrollment for University and Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation employees. Northwestern University has teamed up with the national provider's employer-sponsored childcare division, which specializes in creating customized childcare benefits for its clients to help to foster a balanced work/life culture.


Enrollment

Priority enrollment is given to Northwestern University and Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation (NMFF) faculty, staff and students at discounted rates. Complete and return the Designation Form (PDF PDF) to be considered for NU priority enrollment.

Registration and wait list paperwork must be returned directly to the center along with applicable fees. Completion of the wait list application does not guarantee center enrollment.

Center Programs

The center provides care for children six weeks to five years. For more information about the KinderCare Learning Centers curriculm, schedule a visit or speak with the director at 312-867-7056.

Fee Assistance

The University allocates $75,000 in fee assistance each year. These funds are awarded to Northwestern families who demonstrate financial need and meet the eligibility requirements. Families currently receiving assistance are given priority. Scholarship recipients must be full-time faculty, staff or undergraduate/graduate school students. Professional students are not eligible. Applications are accecpted on a rolling basis. School year awards are determined in August for the following year. Contact the Work/Life Office for more information.

The center is conveniently located at 446 E. Ontario on the Chicago campus, just two blocks south of Abbott Hall between Lake Shore Drive and McClurg Court.
