Social Justice Education is proud to host a new initiative at Northwestern:

The Justice and Allyship Retreat.


The retreat will engage 40-50 undergraduate students who are interested in gaining skills and tools to develop a better understanding of allyship and social justice, that they can bring back to campus.

By attending the Justice and Allyship Retreat students can expect to gain the following:

  • knowledge of social justice language and key concepts specific to allyship
  • awareness of self and how to use their agency for social change
  • skills around advocacy
  • connection with a community of social change agents committed to allyship

Deposit & Cancellation Information

  • There will be a $50 deposit required of all registrants to hold your place for the retreat.  This deposit will be returned to all participants on the first day of the retreat. 
  • All registrants can cancel up to one week before the retreat and get their deposit back. 
  • Canceling after January 26th will result in a forfeit of the deposit. 
  • Anyone interested in the retreat, but unable to pay the $50 deposit please email Noor.Ali@northwestern.edu
  • To submit your deposit please drop it off in an enclosed envelope with your name on it to Scott Hall- 601 University Place, Lower level, room 046.  If the office is closed please feel free to leave the deposit in the gray drop box located outside the door, on top of the file holders.
