The Art Makers Outpost is an environmentally conscious art space for artists of all ages and experience levels to create art by repurposing recycled items in an imaginative way. The Art Makers Outpost offers a number of programs from after-school arts programming and our summer camps for young artist to our adult BYOB makers nights, professional artist-led workshops, and our annual concert series. Since its founding in 2020, The Outpost has provided a nurturing studio environment where artists are encouraged to experiment & be creative with a variety of materials ready for reuse. Through demonstration, facilitation and artist consults, artists learn new techniques and are free to make what they want while exploring the arts in our space. 75% of the materials provided at the Art Makers Outpost are items that would otherwise be destined for landfills. All items are sourced through the community and local businesses.
