Why did you join NUSAC?
After 15 years at Northwestern, I wanted an opportunity to elevate staff voices and concerns and be part of an organization that can positively impact our staff experience.
What is the most important thing your Northwestern staff colleagues should know about NUSAC?
NUSAC is a volunteer led group of 25 staff from across the institution. The Council is only as strong as our thousands of dedicated and talented staff colleagues. We encourage you to share your feedback and concerns to ensure we advocate around the most pressing issues affecting our community.
What issue are you most passionate about related to improving the Northwestern University experience for staff?
I believe staff should be recognized and acknowledged for their efforts to sustain and strengthen Northwestern’s reputation.
What do you most enjoy about your work at Northwestern?
I consider it a privilege to work with such caring and talented staff and faculty to support some of the most brilliant and interesting students.
What is a little-known fun fact about you? I think one of the best ways to learn about people and cultures is through what they eat and how they access food, so I love visiting markets and grocery stores everywhere I travel to learn more about how people live and eat in the places I’m visiting.
