Northwestern Career Advancement (NCA) is your go-to resource for anything you need in your search for a major, career, internship or even simple guidance. Here are several resources you can tap into, but if you cannot find what you are looking for feel free to contact NCA or look through our staff to allow us to help you find what you are looking for.

Handshake Handshake is NCA’s central career platform for job and internship opportunities. Additionally, Handshake allows current students to schedule appointments with NCA advisers & counselors as well as receive important email updates on services, programming, special events and career opportunities. Handshake access is available to current Northwestern students, alumni and postdocs.

Career Insider (Vault) Career Insider (Powered by Vault) is the world’s leading source of Career Intelligence. It will make your efforts at researching employers, industries, and career subjects infinitely easier and more efficient.
Center for Leadership

The Leadership Portal is home to the Center for Leadership’s major programs. It houses the applications and systems for resources like Leadership Coaching, Teamwork Assessments, and the 360° Assessment, which are offered for free to all Northwestern undergraduate and graduate students.

CQ Interactive CQ Interactive was created by the author of Case in Point Marc Cosentino.  This resource includes math drills, interactive cases and  more. This site was built to supplement the strategies and skills you learned while reading Case in Point. Glassdoor Glassdoor is an online career website where students can look up company reviews, salary information, job postings, and interview questions and questions. We have information on more than 300,000 companies in all industries and over 5 million pieces of content.  There is a great wealth of information and all of content is generated by current and past employees. 
Going Global Going Global is an online resource that provides expert advice and insider tips for finding employment opportunities within the United States and abroad. Gain access to more than 35,000 country specific career and employment resources, corporate profiles for key employers in 31 countries, and worldwide internship and job listings. International students can search for H1B employer petition listings by state, industry, or metro area in a database that contains more than 500,000 records! Simply log in using your Northwestern email address.
InitialView InitialView allows students to apply to jobs in China. This is a great resource for Chinese students who are seeking to return home. is an online resource which contains both national and international internship listings.
LinkedIn Leverage the world’s largest professional network to build relationships and connect with opportunity. Use LinkedIn Job Search to harness the power of your network to uncover insights such as whom you know at a company, providing you an edge in your job search.
NCA 2018-19 Programming Brochure An overview of NCA's programs, services and events for Northwestern undergraduate and graduate students. 
NEC Bridge New England Conservatory's Bridge: Worldwide Music Connection provides you with access to over 3,000 opportunities in music and arts administration, including auditions, teaching positions, administrative positions, competitions, grants, scholarships, and festivals to take your music career to the next level. Log-in information can be found in the resources tab of Handshake titled Northwestern Student Resources.
Our Northwestern Our Northwestern is an online database of NU Alumni for informational interviewing and networking purposes. Search by industry, occupational area, graduation date, and more.

Policy Jobs

Policy Jobs is an internship and job board for policy positions in the U.S. and Abroad. Includes sister sites Human Rights Jobs, Political Jobs, and Ethical Jobs. Also contains a database of world think tanks and a library of policy research. Log-in information can be found in the resources tab of Handshake titled Northwestern Student Resources.
Startup Resources (Powered by Uncubed) Uncubed connects students of all majors with jobs at today's most innovative startups and tech giants. Learn new skills and strategies through short videos featuring engineers, marketers, designers, founders, product managers, and CEOs.

Uniworld is a directory of American firms operating in foreign countries and foreign firms operating in the U.S.

To access US World News - Education.  Log-in information can be found in the resources tab of Handshake titled Northwestern Student Resources. 

Versatile PhD The Versatile PhD is a web-based resource geared toward students and PhDs in humanities and social science (and soon expanding to the sciences). Through the website, students can participate in discussions and network with other PhDs and ABDs, review examples of successful resumes and covers letters, read narratives from humanities and social science PhDs and ABDs who have gone on to non-academic careers, and more

VMock, an online resume preparation platform. VMock allows students to upload a resume and receive a critique of both the format and the content of the resume.
