Application Procedure
For the 2024-25 training year, we will not be hiring for the postdoctoral fellowship position in our Chicago campus. CAPS will be accepting applications for the Office of Sport Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow position in the Office of Sport Psychology Services. Please visit the Professional Training section here for more information.
Applicants interested in more than one postdoctoral position need only submit a single application.
- On the application form, you will be asked to provide information regarding educational and training history, as well as the names and contact information of three professional references, at least one of which should be your primary internship clinical supervisor.
Additional materials you will be asked to provide as part of your application include:
- A cover letter indicating:
- Your interest in postdoctoral training at Northwestern CAPS specifically, and how this position aligns with your professional goals and interests.
- For applicants to the Chicago and Evanston Campus Fellowship positions, identity which concentration(s) you would like to pursue.
- Your experience with/approach to: (1) short-term therapy, (2) multiculturalism and social justice, and (3) crisis intervention and case management.
- A current curriculum vitae
- An unofficial copy of your graduate school transcript.
Note: The doctoral degree must be completed before the Postdoctoral Fellowship begins. The start date for the 2023-24 Postdoctoral Fellowship at Chicago CAPS is July 31, 2023. The fellowship is for one year.
