Schedule
The 2012 Parent and Family Orientation schedule will not be released until summer 2012. Activities will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 20 (following new student move-in) and will end around 5 p.m. on Friday, September 21.
Please note students will be required to participate in new student orientation during the time of Parent and Family Orientation. The only time that overlaps for family members and students after move-in ends on Thursday, September 20 will not be until Kiss'n'Bye from 5-6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 21.
Thursday evening will include a welcome and reception for parents from the President Morton O. Schapiro. Friday will begin at 9 a.m. with the spirited tradition March Through the Arch for new students (parents are invited to observe) followed by a school-specific welcome sessions for parents. The afternoon will include a variety of information sessions for parents which will conclude at 4 p.m. Kiss'n'Bye marks the end of Parent and Family Orientation; this is a pause in the parent and student schedules for final goodbyes to be exchanged. The Kiss'n'Bye time will be from 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. All parent events on Thursday evening and Friday overlap with mandatory student events with the exception of Kiss'n'Bye.
