Medical School

Members of the medical school classes are also reuniting this spring, celebrating Alumni Weekend 2002 on April 19 through 20. Enduring values in the midst of change is this year’s reunion theme.

Members of the Medical School’s 50th reunion class will likely touch upon those enduring values when they record their memories during videotaped interviews over the weekend. They’ll also join other alumni in learning what changes lie ahead for the Medical School.

In addition, alumni will receive an update on construction of The Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center of Northwestern University on the site of the former Passavant Hospital and participate in a panel discussion on stem cells and genes in the practice of medicine. They will also learn how virtual-reality technology is being used for training in the Medical School’s Minimally Invasive Surgery Skills Laboratory.

On the reunion’s second day alumni will gather for luncheons — divided according to class years — at the Ritz Carlton Hotel and later for the reunion ball at the Hotel Intercontinental.
