The reassignment process for current residents of graduate housing, and the application process for students new to graduate housing, will begin in April, 2016.
During this process, current registered terms and conditions holders can extend their current contract for the following academic year or they can choose to stay for summer only. Current residents will receive an email in April explaining the reassignment process to their Northwestern email address.
New housing applications for graduate students interested in living in the graduate residence halls will also be accepted beginning in April. Information about the Graduate Housing Application Process is available here. A valid NetID and password are required to access the housing application.
Residential Services offers three residence halls for graduate students: Engelhart Hall, Garrett Place Apartments, and McManus Center. Engelhart Hall and the Garrett Place Apartments are available to all graduate students; McManus Center units are available to Kellogg graduate students only. Applicants must be accepted for admission to or currently registered in their respective schools before a housing application can be accepted.
The living experience for graduate students in these halls includes multiple apartment floor plans, full mail service, and parking. Fall contracts begin September 1 each year and are for the academic year. Residents may choose to renew for the summer. All graduate apartment facilities are open year-round.
