All on-campus, employer events coordinated through NCA now have a business casual dress code, including:
  • Career fairs
  • Information sessions
  • Networking nights
  • Coffee chats
  • Workshops

Please note that the dress code for employer interviews is still business professional. (See an infographic that illustrates the differences between business casual and business professional dress - PDF.)

What Business Casual Is

What Business Casual is NOT

Tops

  • Collared, button down shirts that are tucked in
  • Blouses or shirts with a conservative cut
  • Sweaters or cardigans

Bottoms

  • Khaki or dark pants with a belt
  • Skirts or dresses that fall below fingertips
  • Formal suit
  • Blazer with tie
  • Jeans
  • Shorts
  • Athletic attire
  • Gym shoes
  • Flip flops

Employers are aware of the new student dress code and have been encouraged to also dress in business casual attire, if they do not do so already.

There is no competitive advantage to wearing business formal attire (suits, ties, heels) at business casual events.
