Off-Campus Life

The Office of Off-Campus Life provides support to Northwestern University students living off-campus. Living off-campus means joining the Evanston or Chicago community. Neighbors are not just friends down the hall. They are families, professionals, and non-student residents who keep very different hours and lifestyles than students. As a part of the community, it’s important that our students recognize and abide by some basic responsibilities as a neighbor.

Off-Campus Life has outlined some guidelines to build positive community relationships. Remembering your rights and responsibilities regarding being both a member of the Northwestern and Evanston/Chicago-metro communities, helps build lasting neighborhood relations and helps ensure you have a great off-campus experience!
