Since President Schapiro took office in 2009 as Northwestern’s 16th president, the University has elevated its status as a premier University for research and teaching. He has led Northwestern through more than a decade, witnessing the birth of new campus traditions, celebrating athletic achievements and honoring faculty’s research breakthroughs.
