Before you get started with anything, we have put together a digital booklet that will provide you with an orientation to what your summer will look like. This booklet provides information on where to find important information, how to organize your summer, and what to plan for as you look ahead to the fall.
Discussed heavily in this book is Purple Prep for Transfer Students. Purple Prep for Transfer Students helps you organize the tasks you must complete each month this summer and will be your key resource as you prepare for Northwestern. Learn about Purple Prep using the link below.
1. Purple Prep Website
Find everything you need to know. The Purple Prep Website includes details about each of your summer tasks, from setting up your student account to getting started with academics and also dates to plan for as you look ahead to fall. Review each section carefully, and make sure to share the parent and family information with your parents or guardians.
2. Purple Prep Checklist
Keep track of requirements. The website includes a link to your personalized checklist. The first time you log in, you'll answer a few questions that will help build your list, and you can opt in to text messages that remind you ever Sunday of any unchecked items due that week. Bookmark your checklist to your phone's home screen for quick access, and watch your activity wheel progress throughout the summer!
3. Purple Prep Emails
Get monthly updates and reminders. Your checklist and the website have all the info you need this summer, but we know you'll want to double-check that you're staying on track. The first Tuesday of each month, we'll send you an email noting what's due that month and any updates.
A note about health & safety: All dates and programs included on the Purple Prep website are subject to change as Northwestern follows local, state, and federal health directives and guidelines. Students will be notified of changes via Purple Prep emails throughout the summer.
