Prospective Members
Northwestern is home to 4 unique council communities: the Interfraternity Council (IFC), the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and the Panhellenic Association (PHA). All of the recognized Fraternities and Sororities at Northwestern are affiliated with one of our four councils. Before beginning exploring membership, consider reviewing the organizations that comprise each council at Northwestern.
Each council has a unique joining experience - often called "recruitment" or "intake" (largely replacing the term "rush") and each chapter has final, autonomous decision making on extending offers of membership.
