Preferred Vendors for Moving, Shipping and Storage Services

Northwestern reviewed proposals from vendors that specialize in student moving, shipping, and storage services. The objective was to identify highly-qualified vendors that will provide excellent service and prices to Northwestern students. University Housing, in conjunction with University Services, has identified Midwest Moving & Storage, Inc., and Campus Solutions (formerly The Boxing Co.) as preferred vendors to serve students on both the Chicago and Evanston campuses.

Midwest Moving & Storage, Inc. is currently the preferred vendor for Northwestern University's internal moves on both the Evanston and Chicago campuses. Beginning this year, Midwest will extend its storage and shipping services to students on both campuses. Midwest will provide stackable crates capable of holding contents equal to two moving boxes, along with a cart to move crates to and from drop-off points. Each crate is made of high-density plastic and can be sealed shut by the student. Shipping services are also available. For further information, visit their web site at www.midwestmoving.com and click on "Northwestern Students".

Campus Solutions is a student-owned business and offers professional storage and shipping services to all Northwestern students.  Door to door service and unlimited packing supplies are included in their service. Visit their web site at nucampussolutions.com for more information.

Please note that students are NOT limited to using Campus Solutions or Midwest Moving and Storage for their moving, storage, and shipping needs. Other vendors are eligible to provide services to Northwestern students, however non-preferred vendors may NOT place containers in University parking lots, or anywhere on University property, including University Place. Given this information, students should closely review different options and make decisions based on their individual needs. Northwestern University DOES NOT ASSUME ANY LIABILITY in relation to any agreement reached between vendors and students. Contracted services between students and vendors are individual agreements and do not include Northwestern University. Please review all services and documents carefully before contracting with any vendor.
