The Swahili placement exam is offered online over the summer by appointment only. Final placement will be determined during Wildcat Welcome or the first week of fall quarter by a follow-up interview assessing your oral proficiency in the language.

If you have previous knowledge of Swahili and would like to continue your studies, contact Professor Richard Lepine, Swahili language coordinator in the Program of African and Asian Languages, at 847-491-2765 to arrange to take the online Swahili placement exam during the summer and to schedule a follow-up interview on campus.
