Academic Open Houses
Remember the days of visiting your child's school, talking with his/her teachers, viewing student work and the classroom atmosphere. Well, we are bringing that event back in style at Northwestern. Family members will have the opportunity to visit the facilities of their student's undergraduate academic school for a one hour event on the afternoon of Friday, November 11. Each school's event will feature deans, faculty members, administrators and/or students in this informal setting.
A few comments from family members regarding the Academic Open House during 2010 Family Weekend:
- We loved meeting and talking with our son's Anthro[pology] professor.
- The open house was one of the most enjoyable portions of the weekend.
- 85% of survey respondents listed the Academic Open House as very or somewhat informative.
NU Student Attendance: Though this event is usually attended by parents, your student is welcome to join if interested. If so, count him/her in the RSVP portion of the registration form.
