Latin@ Congratulatory 2014 Information
Join the Department of Hispanic/Latino Student Affairs and the Latina Latino Studies Program as we celebrate the class of 2014! The Latin@ Congratulatory is our way of recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of Northwestern's Latin@ graduates. While the event has a special emphasis on our undergradutes, participation is open to any and all graduates who identify with the Hispanic/Latin@ community.

Registration Deadline: May 19, 2014 @ 5:00pm
Hispanic/Latino Student Affairs will be offering a graduation stole that seniors may wear for commencement. The stole includes the flag of the students nationality, you may select the flag/s that best represents your identity/s in the registration form. The flag may accomodate up to four nationaities. H/LSA will subsidize the first $30 towards the purchase of the stole. If ordering 2 or more nationalities, please submit payment to MSA by May 19, 2014.
The stole cost are the following:
1 Nationality: $30
2 Nationalities: $40
3 Nationalities: $50
4 Nationalities: $60

Arrival Time, Check-In
Seniors should plan on arrving no later than 6:00pm in order to ensure a 6:30pm start time. There will be a check in table outside of Parkes Room 122. When you check-in, you will receive a card that has your name, degree, and major / minor as you entered it in to the registration form online. You will need to look over the information on your card, making sure it’s correct. You’ll also have the option of writing a phonetic pronunciation of your name in a designated box. Once completed, please take your name card with you to your seat.
Seating is open on a first come, first serve basis. Arrive early to guarantee your seat.
Guests are urged to park in the campus lots and walk to Parkes Hall. A map indicating campus and public parking lots can be found on the Commencement website. University parking permits will not be required on Thursday June 19th and Friday June 20th.
If you arrive after the formal program has started, it is not guaranteed that you will get to participate in the ceremony. Even if you don't participate in the ceremony, you can still pick-up your stole from the H/LSA staff during the reception held in the same space.
Seniors are asked to recognize a business dress code for the event, and do not need to wear your cap and gowns.
