Job title: Student Services Aide 

Job Description: 

The Student Services Aide supports the Women’s Center staff with the development and execution of the Women's Center programs, services, and resources. Each Student Services Aide serves in one or more of the following areas based on interests: leadership development, programming, visual design and marketing, and community engagement.

 Pay Rate: $10.00+, based on experience

Graduate Student Assistantship

We are currently hiring for one part-time graduate assistant at the Women's Center.  Details are below.

Job title: Part Time Graduate Assistantship/ Part Time Program Assistant 

Job description:
Responsibilities will vary depending on the projects assigned. The Women’s Center will make every effort to match your interests, skills and professional goals with available projects. Upcoming events include our 30th Anniversary programming as well as our ongoing programming. Our goal is to afford a means for students to turn theory into practice and to acquire an understanding of the many functions and services that the Women’s Center provides to the Northwestern community.

The Women’s Center is seeking reliable, dedicated self-starters to work in an affirming environment, which strives to promote awareness and understanding of issues that affect people who identify as women as well as others experiencing societal marginalization. Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate must be competent in working with people from diverse social, cultural, racial, economic and educational backgrounds. Ideal candidates will have a commitment to actively creating a welcoming gender responsive environment, including, but not limited to women identified people who face additional marginalization due to their race, ethnicity, class, sexual identity, citizenship status, religion, age, or disability.

The Women’s Center is committed to supporting the growth and development of students who wish to focus on women’s, gender, and social justice issues. Student workers are encouraged to take on and share leadership roles, recognize hidden talents, think critically, challenge assumptions, and initiate new activities.


This assistantship is a half-time assistantship, 20 hours per week, on a 9-month appointment with the possibility of summer employment. There will be some evening and weekend work hours required.
