National Clubs Laura Washington (J78, GJ80), an investigative journalist and Chicago Sun-Times columnist, moderated the Alumnae of Northwestern University’s 2002 Alumnae Award panel discussion on mass transit at the Norris University Center in October. Washington was this year’s award winner. The panelists included Mary Sue Barrett (C86), president of Chicago’s Metropolitan Planning Council, and Donald Haider, professor of management and director of the public/nonprofit program at the Kellogg School of Management. Council of One Hundred members will hold their spring meeting April 9 and 10 at Norris University Center. Attorney, author and Court TV anchor Rikki Klieman (C70) is the event’s featured speaker. The February lineup for the John Evans Club included campus trips to see the musical All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten and to root for the Wildcat basketball team in the game against Wisconsin. Editor’s note: National clubs were formerly known as special-interest clubs. For the latest information about all NAA clubs, visit www.alumni.northwestern.edu/clubs.
