Recommendation File Service

RECOMMENDATION FILE SERVICE UPDATE: Students intending to apply in 2019 may begin opening or re-opening recommendation files via the Request to Open/Re-Open Your Recommendation File in February, 2019. An announcement will go out via the HPA listserv.

Please note: Once you have submitted your request, you will need to wait until you receive an email from with further instructions to proceed (1-2 business days after submitting the request).

Until then, please be sure to read our How It Works and Setting Up Your File sections to gain a better understanding of the Rec-File Service.

Most schools place a high value on recommendation letters, and it's important this piece of your application is strong. However, tracking recommenders, gathering letters, and submitting to schools can be a laborious process. Let us help. The Recommendation File Service (RFS) acts as an intermediary in the process. We receive letters and evaluations from recommenders and submit them to health professions programs at the student's request.
