Diversity and Inclusion

Empowering our diverse group of students and alumni

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

HPA celebrates the rich diversity of our society and recognizes the benefits of a diverse and inclusive campus community and health workforce.

We also acknowledge that social structures, institutions of higher education, and the health professions have historically marginalized and harmed individuals and communities on the basis of race, ethnicity, sex, class, sexual orientation, national origin, gender identity, religion, ability, age, and immigration status.

While some barriers have been removed, many still exist. Knowing this and valuing the many identities our students hold, HPA is committed to uplifting historically marginalized groups and centering their voices in the work we do. To this end, we commit to continued reflection, growth, and learning to improve ourselves and our work.
