Lavender Graduation
This bookend experience at Northwestern is a chance to celebrate you and all your accomplishments! Lavender Graduation is a celebration put on by GSRC to celebrate our lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA) graduates. A space of love, joy and acknowledgment, Lavender Graduation is a space to celebrate you in your fullness as member of our community! All students who register and participate will receive a GSRC Pride stole paid for by the GSRC.
2024 Lavender Graduation will be Wednesday June 5th In Cahn Auditorium as we honor our "constellations of mutual support". The Ceremony will be from 5:30-6:30pm. Graduates will get email instructions about when doors open and when they are expected to check-in for the ceremony in May. Current students, alumni, bio and chosen family interested in celebrating our graduating class are welcome to attend!

Lavendar Graduation is curated through student feedback and participation. If you are a graduating student be sure to nominate yourself or peers to serve as our student speaker! If there is a faculty member, staff member, community member or alum you would like to nominate as our community speaker please also consider submitting that nomination so the GSRC can consider all nominations! Speaker nominations close Monday, April 1st!

You must register for Lavender Graduation to be able to participate. Registration closes Sunday, April 21st at 8pm. Lavender Graduation registration form requires photo upload (and requires photo files to have particular naming). For this reason, please fill out the registration from on a computer and not on your phone.
Graduate Registration opens Feb 26th
LGBTQIA+ Faculty and staff interested in supporting this ceremony are encouraged to join Out Network Evanston. Volunteer sign-ups will be sent through the employee resource group's listserv and teams channel.
