Michelle Manno, PhD(she/they)
Interim Chief Diversity Officer
Dr. Michelle Manno is Chief Diversity Officer at Northwestern University. In this role, Manno oversees The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion (OIDI) including The Women’s Center and Native American Indigenous Initiatives. She leads the implementation of diversity accountability processes across Northwestern’s 12 schools and colleges on three campuses. This involves coordinating initiatives to address bigotry and exclusion while promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity.

Leona Quist(she/they)
Assistant Director of Administration and Operations
Leona Quist is the Assistant Director of Administration and Operations for the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion. In this role, she also directly supports the Interim Chief Diversity Officer, Dr. Michelle Manno.

Jasmine Gurneau(she/her)
Director, Native American and Indigenous Affairs
Jasmine Gurneau leads the development and implementation of university-wide initiatives related to the inclusion of Native American and Indigenous students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Her role includes facilitating stakeholder engagement, serving as a thought leader on campus, and building and sustaining partnerships with tribal communities.

Sarah Brown is the Director of the Women’s Center at Northwestern University, a unit that advocates for all staff, students, and faculty subject to gender-based oppression and provides educational programming for the university and broader community.

Dr. Majida Kargbo is the Director for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accountability (IDEA) Education and Training. As part of the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion’s leadership team at Northwestern, Maj leads in the creation, coordination, and delivery of innovative, evidence-based IDEA education and training programs.

Director for Diversity Initiatives, Evaluation, & Assessment
Dr. Hilary Zimmerman is the Director for Diversity Initiatives, Evaluation & Assessment. In her role, Hilary supports assessment and evaluation efforts related to diversity, equity and inclusion across Northwestern. She works to support data-informed initiatives, programming and growth across Northwestern by preparing reports, running analyses and creating data visualizations that provide ways to explore and assess inclusion, diversity and equity.

Communications Specialist
Anthony McCray serves as the Communications Specialist for the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion. Anthony leads the development of the office’s strategic communications plan for internal and external audiences. In his role, he combines content creation, storytelling and meaningful pedagogical engagement with a broad group of stakeholders to develop and advance OIDI’s presence.

Jamiece Adams is the facilitator and program manager for the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accountability (IDEA) Education and Training. In her role, Jamiece assists in the creation and facilitation of a wide variety of educational offerings and trainings related to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability (IDEA) for Northwestern’s Evanston, Chicago, and Qatar campuses.

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accountability (IDEA) Facilitator
Dr. Oslo Brewster is an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accountability (IDEA) facilitator in the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion. In this role, they develop evidence-based education and training curricula for diverse student, faculty, and staff audiences on inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability topics. They also facilitate workshops, trainings, and other learning opportunities that center accessibility and prioritize social justice.

Isabel St. Arnold(she/her)
Program Coordinator for Native American and Indigenous Affairs
Isabel St. Arnold is Ojibwe from the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community in the upper peninsula of Michigan. She was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since graduating from Northwestern University with her bachelors in Social Policy and Native American and Indigenous Studies, Isabel has been working at Indian Community School in Milwaukee where she has supported the language and culture department. Isabel is excited to join OIDI as Program Coordinator for Native American and Indigenous Affairs and is looking forward to coming back to Northwestern as an alumnus and continuing to build community.
