We are the Community Enrichment Education Team at Northwestern University—a group of educators, facilitators, and community builders dedicated to creating transformative learning experiences for students, faculty, staff, and local community members. We believe that community enrichment is about learning together, sharing resources equitably, and fostering connections that strengthen both individuals and the broader community.

Our work centers on collaborative thinking, interdisciplinary inquiry, and practical application, allowing participants to explore complex issues, develop new skills, and build meaningful relationships. We see ourselves as a learning lab, where knowledge is co-created and applied to address pressing societal challenges.

We envision a Northwestern community where people learn with and from one another, where resources are accessible to all, and where alliances across disciplines and roles lead to collective growth and communal well-being.

Our Mission

Our mission is to design and facilitate educational experiences that strengthen community ties, promote thoughtful inquiry, and redistribute knowledge and resources. We work in partnership with university departments, research centers, libraries and local organizations to extend learning beyond the classroom, ensuring that the knowledge generated at Northwestern benefits everyone on campus and in the broader community.
