Here's what
you need to do:
1. Be patient! Wait for your transcript
to arrive at the Study Abroad Office. Usually, it takes
foreign universities about 2 months to send the official
document. If your credits have not been posted on Caesar
after 2 months, contact your study abroad program to see
if they have sent the transcript.
- Special note for King’s College returnees: King’s
College has an examination board which must ratify grades
before releasing transcripts. Due to this requirement, it
may take 4 months or more for transcripts to arrive from
Arcadia. Please be patient.
2. Fill out a Program
Evaluation. Program Evaluations are MANDATORY.
We will not forward your official transcript to the Registrar
until we receive this document. You can email, fax, or send
it to us, or drop it off.
3. Read about your school's procedures for transferring
credit.
4. If you did an independent study/research project or internship
abroad, you are required to submit a copy of your final paper
and a cover sheet
to the Study Abroad Office. If you have forgotten the policies
and procedures, see the following pdf documents:
Here's what we encourage
you to do:
5. Submit a study abroad essay or photo
for our contest! Winners receive a $25 gift certificate to
a bookstore, and their work is published on our Web site.
to find out more information on submission rules and deadlines.
6. Attend Study Abroad Office returnee events, such as the Returnee Roundable Discussion. At this event, students can gather with other study abroad students, learn about international organizations on campus, engage in conversations about global issues and learn how to petition for major, minor or distribution credit.
Check the calendar
for specific dates. Also, we'd love feedback on the types
of events you want, or the ways we can help you continue cross-cultural
learning. Please email
us with any suggestions or interests, so that we can help
you expand on your knowledge gained while abroad!
7. Continue your study abroad experience on campus and in
the future!
There are LOTS of opportunities for you to keep making the
most of study abroad now that you are back in Evanston.
Get involved!
