Student Voices

One of the best ways to learn about the study abroad experience is from other Northwestern students who participated in your program, lived in your host country, or took on similar challenges living and studying abroad.

  • Meet with a Peer Adviser
Peer Advisers are students who have previously studied abroad and are now dedicated to sharing their experiences with others. They are trained to help you become aware of the range of available opportunities abroad and think through which ones might be best for you.
  • Read student tips
Study abroad alums are one of your best sources of information. Learn how they answered some questions you might have about what to expect and how to adjust while abroad.
  • Read Program Evaluations
Stop by the Study Abroad Office to read through feedback from past NU students who participated on the programs you're interested in!  No need for an appointment, and you can stop by anytime during hours of operation
  • See student photos
From our annual student photo contest to photos of program sites, these photo galleries give you the chance to view the abroad experience.
