| Program Description: |
Australia’s third largest city is Brisbane, located on Australia's eastern coast. Referred to as the "Sunshine State," Brisbane has a tropical climate that is warm and sunny nearly 300 days each year. The University of Queensland (UQ) is situated in a suburban location about five miles from the middle of the city.
UQ offers many of the features you would expect to find at a research university of more than 35,000. A large, green and open campus located on the Brisbane River and close to the South Pacific shore, UQ is a world leader in bio-technology, marine science, and engineering and offers a wide range of courses related to Australia in English, history, political science, and sociology. Students attending UQ can expect to find advanced research laboratories, rigorous academics, and a campus culture that is conducive to academic debate and discovery.
