To get started on the study abroad process, we recommend that you:

  • Research NU Summer programs on our website.
  • Subscribe to the study abroad listserv to receive announcements about deadlines, upcoming events, important news, and more.
  • Meet with a study abroad adviser in the office coordinating the program in which you're interested.

For students interested in 2 programs:

  • If different offices run the programs you are interested in, you must schedule interviews with both offices before March 1, 2012. Visit http://www.northwestern.edu/studyabroad/programs/summer/ for office contact information.
  • Submit your application to your first choice program office only.
  • You will be considered for your second choice only if you are not accepted to your first choice or your first choice program fills.
  • Please note that your second choice program may have additional requirements, and the appropriate office will follow up with you.
