Reporting Clery Crimes

The Clery Act requires colleges and universities that participate in US federal student financial aid programs to disclose information about crime on and around their campuses. Certain categories of crime, arrests and referrals occurring in Clery Act reportable locations are required to be reported by Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) and included in an Annual Security Report (published by October 1st each year).

Report a CSA Crime

If you are a CSA and need to report a crime, please use the Community Concerns Report Form and designate that you are reporting a Clery Crime.

In an Emergency

If there is immediate danger, dial 911.

Your safety is the top concern. We encourage the Northwestern community to report criminal incidents, suspicious activity and emergencies. We will promptly work to address the incident and mitigate any risk to people or property.

Non-emergencies

If there is no immediate threat, you can call our department to report incidents or accidents. These numbers are monitored 24/7.
