Emily Durham

Emily Durham joined Northwestern’s Office of Government Relations in January 2024 as the Associate Director of Federal Relations in the Washington, D.C. office. Her responsibilities include representing and advocating for Northwestern’s federal relations interests across the Executive and Legislative branches including research-related and regulatory matters.

Emily was previously at Lewis-Burke Associates, LLC as an Associate Lobbyist, where she lobbied and advocated on behalf of numerous institutions of higher education across the country. In this role, Emily’s portfolio concentrated on research, development, and policy in areas such as defense/national security, education and workforce, arts and humanities, and STEM education. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University where she graduated magna cum laude.
