Anita S. Ridge
Anita S. Ridge became an Assistant General Counsel in February 2006. She was previously the Director of Planned Giving in the Office of Alumni Relations and Development at Northwestern University. Prior to her arrival at Northwestern, Ms. Ridge worked in the gift planning departments of the University of Chicago and Children’s Memorial Foundation. Before working in philanthropy, she was an associate at the law firms of Holleb & Coff then Levin & Schreder where she specialized in estate planning and probate administration. Until 2006, she had an of counsel relationship with Joel S. Rothman & Associates.
Ms. Ridge received a B.A. from Monmouth College, summa cum laude, with majors in government and psychology, and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
Ms. Ridge’s primary areas of responsibility within the Office of General Counsel are development and real estate. She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys, the Chicago Estate Planning Council, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
