Amy D. Mayber joined Northwestern University as Associate General Counsel in 1995. Prior to her appointment at the University, Ms. Mayber was Counsel at Sidley & Austin where she was outside counsel for the University. Prior to Sidley & Austin, Ms. Mayber was a judicial law clerk for Chief Justice Thomas J. Moran of the Illinois Supreme Court.

Ms. Mayber received a B.A. from Indiana University and a J.D. from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Ms. Mayber is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys. Her principal areas of responsibility in the NU Office of General Counsel are general and professional liability litigation.
