June 20, 2008

Starting Monday, June 23, 2008, Northwestern University is replacing the underground steam and condensate piping which is located east of 1838 Chicago, the east side of Allison Hall, the south side of Allison Hall, the west side of 619 Clark, across Clark Street, and east of 624 Clark to McManus.
The Contractor, F.E.Moran, shall be responsible for site protection, fencing, signage around the excavation, temporary walkways, and access to buildings.
This project shall be completed Friday, September 12, 2008.

May 15, 2008

Wieboldt Hall School of Continuing Studies has been awarded a LEED CI Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. Sue Budinsky is the Project Manager.

May 2, 2008

The brick walkway between Garrett Seminary and Annenberg Hall will be partially closed for repairs beginning Monday May 5 th . Repairs should be complete by Friday May 9 th . Pedestrian traffic will be limited.

 

April 9, 2008

Road Closure Notice

From information provided to us by IDOT and the General Contractor, the bridge on Emerson Street at McCormick Boulevard will be closed for reconstruction during the Spring, Summer and Autumn of this year. Important landmark dates are as follows:

Contractor mobilization 17 th April 2008,

Traffic control begins 4 th May 2008,

Demolition begins 6th May 2008,

Construction begins 16 th June 2008,

Construct new sidewalks 11 th October 2008,

Road markings started 28 th October 2008,

Open bridge 30 th October 2008.

These dates are tentative and subject to change and are dependant upon field conditions.

During this period alternate traffic routes will be posted indicating temporary traffic routes. Travel times to and from the Campus should be adjusted accordingly to include for potential delays. All questions concerning this construction work should be forwarded to IDOT and the City of Evanston , Engineering Department.

 

 

Graduated Project Management Fees

Beginning in January 2006, Facilities Management implemented a graduated project management fee system. The project management fee structure is based on project cost, with no difference in the fees charged by FMDC and FMO. The fee will be based on the established project budget at the beginning ofthe project and will not be changed over the term of the project
