Good Neighbor Fund
Under an agreement between former Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl and Northwestern President Morton Schapiro, the University agreed to donate $1 million annually to the city for the “Good Neighbor Fund” for a period of five years, which began in 2015. Proceeds from this donation will be spent on projects and services agreed to jointly by the mayor and the president. Eligible projects and services will include:
- Capital projects supporting city infrastructure and facilities
- Specific support for existing city services
- Special projects
