Reyna 2025

Reyna

Reyna is an Undergraduate student at Northwestern studying sociology who grew up in Arlington, Texas where a lack of public transportation infrastructure greatly shaped their research interests in how people interact with and feel about the physical infrastructures that make up their daily lives. Reyna is also heavily involved in a number of Latino organizations on campus, and they say their favorite way to connect with their Mexican culture is by playing in their two bands: Mariachi Northwestern and Los Gatos del Norte. In their free time Reyna loves learning new instruments, exploring local food scenes, and watching video essays.

Reyna hopes to continue doing research in graduate school with the goal of advocating for public infrastructure that serves the local communities impacted most by them.
