Aniekan Odong is a third-year undergraduate student attending Northwestern University who was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is majoring in Political Science in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. He has interests in political economy, data analysis, and philosophical theories of ethics. Aniekan has a focus on combining quantitative and qualitative skills within his research. Having been part of the Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences program and a current project leader in the Brady Scholars Program in Ethics and Civic Life, Aniekan’s enriched perspectives allow him to thrive in interdisciplinary research. He is currently researching Chicago as a global city; investigating how political and economic actions have driven the city to become a machine of wealth generation, rather than a place of habitation. He aims to continue working on his research project in his undergraduate and graduate studies. For fun, Aniekan enjoys reading, music production, drawing, and skateboarding.
