Chloe Chow

Chloe Chow is a student at Northwestern University in the Class of 2024. She is majoring in both Religious Studies and Classics with a concentration in Latin and Ancient Greek. Her past research projects have included comparing treatment of blasphemy to that of free speech in rightwing podcasts, and the literary foresight of female characters, especially in Statius' Achilleid. Her thesis is an investigation into the function of the Roman festival of Saturnalia in the religion of enslaved people in the late Roman Empire, primarily through the Macrobius work Saturnalia.

Chloe is a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow originally from Evanston, Illinois. She is president of the Northwestern chapter of Splash, president of the Northwestern Quizbowl Team, president of the Northwestern Club Field Hockey Team, and a Books and Breakfast tutor. After graduation, she plans to pursue a PhD in Religious Studies.
