Justin Jasperse (he/him/his)

Justin Jasperse graduated from the Weinberg School of Arts and Sciences in 2022 with honors in Philosophy and minors in both Classics and Critical Theory. His primary research interests are in medical ethics, the ethics of technology, and issues of modern democracy. Justin's senior thesis is titled "Conciliatory Civic Friendship: Public Reasoning as a Dialectical Activity" and it focuses on reframing how citizens can motivate their engagement in political discourse.

While at Northwestern, Justin was president of the NU chapter of the Mortar Board Honor Society and a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Justin also worked as a research assistant in the Classics department and served as treasurer for its student outreach committee. Finally, Justin was a proud member of Northwestern's Quiz Bowl trivia club and served as its president during his junior and senior years. Upon his return to the academy, Justin hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Philosophy and actively work towards continually making the humanities a more inclusive space for learners from low-income and minority backgrounds.
