Diamond JonesDiamond is a rising senior in Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, happily majoring in Japanese Language & Culture. She began her research experience during a summer where she explored the articulation of the Vengeful Female Ghost figure in Japanese Horror Video Games. From there, she has been able to work as a research assistant crafting bibliographies for a Video Games in Japan class. Currently, she's studying the reception of Japanese Horror Games on Western streaming platforms, and ultimately hopes to take her love of video games beyond undergrad. In addition to being a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, she is a Co-Coordinator for Peer Health Exchange where she helps empower under-resourced high school students through a skills-based health curriculum. After graduation, she plans to work to make academia more accessible to budding scholars.
