Advancing the effort

Dear Northwestern Community,

For those of you who had the privilege, we hope your spring break was restorative.

Over the break, workgroups continued to meet and move forward. The student outreach workgroup and the qualitative workgroup are planning listening sessions with students, staff and faculty in the coming weeks. The quantitative workgroup has been hard at work to develop a set of data-gathering models to help inform our recommendations, and the curricular and pedagogical workgroup continues to find ways to engage the Northwestern community more deeply on teaching and learning opportunities.

Our full committee met late last week to discuss how we should imagine future recommendations and to hear from each other regarding our workgroup sessions.

Effi and Bryan had several meetings with campus constituencies to hear more about their hopes and expectations from the Committee and to provide updates on our work.

Please look for messages coming from workgroups asking for your input and guidance. We remain focused on finding ways to help the broader Northwestern community learn from and about each other, while addressing important topics.
