Stacey Kostell named vice president and dean of enrollment

With more than 20 years of admissions experience dedicated to college access, affordability and student success, Stacey Kostell currently serves as chief executive officer of the Coalition for College. She will join Northwestern on Aug. 28, succeeding Chris Watson, who will retire after 16 years at the University.

Search launched to find new vice president for research

Northwestern will conduct a search for a vice president for research. The individual chosen will succeed Milan Mrksich, who has led the Office for Research since 2019.

Awards

Northwestern is now accepting nominations for Nemmers Prizes

Northwestern is accepting nominations for $300,000 Nemmers Prizes in mathematics, earth sciences and economics, to be awarded in 2024. The 2022 Nemmers Prize winners — Bhargav Bhatt, Emily Brodsky and Ariel Pakes — visited with President Michael Schill in May.
