Men’s basketball advances

Led by Boo Buie and Chase Audige (pictured), Northwestern men’s basketball defeated Boise State, 75-67, in Sacramento Thursday night to move on to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament. Next up, the ’Cats will play UCLA Saturday night for a spot in the Sweet 16.

In wrestling, Yahya Thomas (149 pounds) and Lucas Davison (285 pounds) secured quarterfinal-round berths at the NCAA Championships in Tulsa.

And, Northwestern scored its first points of the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships as the Wildcats prepare for day three of competition in Knoxville.
